Hey there! Happy Friday. K, first off, I've gotta say Happy Birthday to my stepmom, Virgi, who lives in Las Vegas. No, that's not her card I posted here. Her card is posted down below. I sent her a purple version of the butterfly card under "Substitution".
Today, I'm posting another card that is for my brother, Kaleb. His birthday is next week, and I don't think he's frequenting my blog, so it's safe to post his card. Ha! A big fat "so there!" to my one-track-mindedness. Or obsessiveness, I haven't decided yet. Whichever one paints me in a better light is the one I'm going with. I told you I'd put up something without "that other" set. I won't even use the name in this post, that's how dedicated I am to not using it. Of course, I had to stretch and do a guy card to avoid using "Pri-", er, I mean, "that other" set. I'm gonna go out on a limb here & say I don't think he would've wanted swirls or butterflies. I don't see why not, they are pretty fabulous. But he can be picky like that. I blame my mother. {kidding mom!}
Just so you fully appreciate the effort here, I struggle with the guy cards. I mostly make cards for girls and women, so it's always a tug of the imagination to make a card for a guy. Hey, turns out there is a purpose for that beigyish-River Rock paper, after all. Phew, thank goodness for guys!
Stamps: Lexicon of Love (SU!), Faux Ribbon (Papertrey), Stampendous, Rough Around the Edges jumbo wheel (SU!), Ink: River Rock, Bashful Blue, Basic Black (SU!), black craft (Color Box), Paper: River Rock, Bashful Blue, Basic Black (all SU!), Accessories: Round Tab punch (SU!), black eyelet (making memories)

Mint, I found your blog through Amy Westerman's blog. I frequent her blog continuously. I wanted to stop in and say a quick hello, and tell your that your cards are wonderful. I'm not sure exactly what word I'm looking for to describe your cards, it's on the tip of my tongue.....so when it comes to me I will be back. As of now I'm adding your blog to my google reader so I can get updates as soon as you post. Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to keep coming back to visit and to get to know you! Hugs Jen
I knew the word would come to me, you have a refreshing style of stamping!!! Not too much and not too little, just perfect!
Hi, Mint! Amy from Heartfelt Greetings sent me over to say hello and welcome to the neighborgood! I've read enough to know that I will be back regularly, although I don't post too often. I definitely like your style of stamping and blogging.
Hi Mint,
Yet another Amy-ite coming over to say hi, and I love your blog and your style of cardmaking.
I tend to read more than I comment, but I'll be watchin' ya.
I lived briefly in San Francisco in the crazy Sixties (yes, I know, I'm o-l-d)It was a thrilling city to run around in when I was young and carefree!

OK - three guesses and the first two don't count - can you guess who sent me over to your blog? What was that? Did you say Amy Westerman? You will for sure get lots of lookers from Amy because she has lots of blog readers. Oh, and you must cure all of our curiosities - give us the history of your name - was your mom into the herb mint or is it short for something else?
